This summer there are some pretty exciting classic car show events happening across the United States. The following is a look at some of the ones that our team at Customs & Hot Rods of Andice are most excited about and ones we hope to see you and your hot rods at this summer:
Summer 2019 Classic Car Show Events Worth Checking Out
- Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, August 18, '19. In English, the name translates to a parade of vintage vehicles and in American, we call that just the place we want to be! This California event may be a bit West but it's worth a trip if you're in the area. The Concours d'Elegance is the premier automotive event of Pebble Beach and has consistently brought out over 200 collector cars and motorcycles that have paraded out at the Pebble Beach Golf Links.
- Iola Old Car Show & Swap Meet, July 11-13, '19. In Iola, Wisconsin, this three-day show gets held every year in mid-July. While this might be a bit far from Texas, it is worth going to at least once. It's surely one of the largest classic car events in the Midwest and among the best places to go if you are looking for a car project or need pieces for your current rare car project. That's because this venue brings together over 2,000 show cars and 4,000 swap spaces and vendors. This is where you want to go to browse through historic artifacts and learn more about a specific classic car you're considering restoring or are in the process of restoring.
- Charlotte Autofair, October 17-19, '19. The group organizing this event bills it as the world's largest automotive extravaganza. The Charlotte Autofair is held at the beloved Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC and includes just about every classic car show event you can imagine. There will be a parade of hot rods and classic cars, a show with judging on the best restorations, and a massive, massive swap meet that puts the Midwest in the junior leagues. This one will have over 7,000 assigned spaces for sellers to show off their wares.
- Woodward Dream Cruise, August 17, '19. The best part of this event is held on the third Saturday in August and involves a massive parade of classic cars and hot rods down Woodward Avenue in Metropolitan Detroit. This is an incredible classic car show event and one that has consistently attracted over a million spectators every year.
